stuffed animals
This is for a stuffed animal manufacturer:
(a description of a plush dog)
Hundeblick, Männchen, Schlappohr – der kleine Hundefreund braucht auf nichts mehr zu verzichten.
My problem is how to translate Hundeblick. Normally I associate this with sad, puppy-dog eyes... Now I am not sure if I can use sad puppy eyes here, as it might be too negative perhaps. Any suggestions appreciated. I am too "cuted" out for today!

puppy-dog eyes
You dont need the word sad. Puppy-dog eyes alone works.

Comment: "Thanks..... I used just puppy-dog eyes and added the word soulful somewhere else in the text... Thanks to rangepost and to Laurel : )(if you could see me now, I am practicing my best "Hundeblick"!!)"

big, brown eyes
I don't know why but when someone (or thing) looks at me with those big, brown eyes my heart just melts.
