Die diversen Ausführungen sind unter der folgenden URL beschrieben. Wie ich das verstehe, werden im Fall der Messbahn Werkstücke jeweils um eine von bis zu 99 vorprogrammierten Längen vorgeschoben und dann bearbeitet (gesägt, gebohrt usw.), so dass es sich eigentlich eher um eine Vorschub- als eine Messbahn handelt. Was Besseres als "roller and measurement line" oder "roller and feed line" fällt mir im Moment leider nicht ein.

: possibly 'dimensioning line', although it doesn't google well. In any case, the purpose is apparently to cut, bore and machine objects to specified dimensions.
