Bank Director (retd.)
Bankvorstand is more than an "Executive" - he's a retired former member of the bank's Board of Directors. The usual English abbreviation equivalent to "i. R." is "retd.".

In English, I think it would often be more natural to give details of the actual directorship - \"Director, Barclay\'s Bank (retd.)\" etc.
However, \"Bank Director\" is also a common term - e.g.
\"In response to increased challenges and regulatory scrutiny in the banking industry, Bank Directors are required to play a larger role in understanding the business operations and strategic direction of their bank...\"

I am well aware what i.R. means, thank you. The question is how to translate the complete title into UK English.
