German term

Aktiengesellschaft & Co KG

German to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) Articles of Association
Again, there are previous entries for AG, but what about the next bit? I assume KG means Kapitalgsellschaft, but how do I translate this company name then? (GB English) Should I just call it a corporation?

Discussion

Carolyn Brice (asker) Apr 30, 2006:
So Should I leave it as AG & Co KG and put 'public limited partnership' in brackets?
Sybille Brückner Apr 30, 2006:
KG means Kommanditgesellschaft.

thanks
agree RobinB : Don't change, this is the legal form of the company. It's a limited partnership with a stock corporation as the general partner, but only the context will dictate whether an explanation is necessary.

agree Ted Wozniak : again agree with Robin. When used as the name (X AG KG & CO,) leave it alone.
