German term

5% im Hundert d.h. 5,3%

German to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) sales
This is the term at which raw material is charged to a subsidiary. Does anybody know what "im Hundert" means in this context?
Proposed translations (English)

Discussion

Steffen Walter Mar 7, 2006:
Looks like interest rates but I fail to see the logic of "5% im Hundert" vs. "d.h. - das heißt - effektive 5,3%".
Tradesca (X) Mar 7, 2006:
Sorry: 5 im Hundert
Tradesca (X) Mar 7, 2006:
Doppel-gemoppelt würde ich sagen: entweder 5 vom Hundert oder 5%
EMatt (asker) Mar 7, 2006:
I forgot to add effektive before 5.3%. This is the quote in the text. There is no more context.
Steffen Walter Mar 7, 2006:
Could you perhaps provide some more context? Thank you.
