German term

Geldentsorger

German to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) Geldtransportfirma
A term is required to specifiy an armoured security company (is this in fact the best solution?) that comes to a supermarket to pick up the day's takings - a term that differentiates between general security and money-related security.

money transport company

I'm not sure I understand your question -- you're not certain of the German term? Try e.g. Geldtransportfirma. Is it clearly restricted to cash? If not, "Armored transport company" or similar (Werttransportfirma) is common.

Try websites like Brinks (many languages), e.g. http://www.us.brinksinc.com/services/cit.html

agree Nicole Schnell : Totally. "Geldentsorger" would mean to dispose of money. What fun... :-)

No kidding, huh? Hey! Just bring it right over here, I'll "dispose" of that for you ....
agree Teresa Reinhardt : Geldentsorger is indeed a strange bird - where do I apply for the job?

Get me one, too!
agree BrigitteHilgner : "Geldendsorger" leaves me with visions of people shredding money, burning it, destroying it by whathever method they see fit ... :-)

Yeah ... count me in! Just don't mind the method by which I see fit ...

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Ended up using a combo of both suggestions as neither totally fitted the bill e.g 'money' just sounds strange, I found 'armoured escort service' in same context (i.e. not call girls with guns) "

security company (for cash collections)

This is the standard term in the food sector where these "Entsorger" are used and is used by ALDI Süd (my client)
