From an overview of advertising materials for a company that makes bed materials (mattresses and so forth). It so happens that this job is in PDF form, so I at least have pictures of these mysterious "Dekofahnen". They seem to be posters of some sort. One has a picture of a pretty girl in a hat and blouse, another has a picture of a bee hovering just above a flower, while others still are advertising various products made by the company.
So I think the "Deko-" bit is short for "dekorativ". Not really sure about "Fahne" though. Is it possible to translate "Fahne" as poster? I don't really like "banner", though I suppose that might be possible. TIA for your help.

: I find "Fahne" a little odd ifthey're not banners/flags, but "placard" should be ok.

The "Dekofahnen" in my PDF text don't look quite like banners as such (they don't appear to be hung vertically, and they are more square than rectangular in shape), but maybe the vertical hanging bit just isn't shown or something. Auf den Folgeseiten ist das Ma� der ***Fahne*** neben dem jeweiligen Werbemittel aufgelistet. Bei mehreren Angaben ist die ***Werbemittelfahne*** auf diese Ma�e beschneidbar. Zu den Breiten der Werbemittel sind immer 12,6 cm hinzu zu rechnen, um das Ma� des ben�tigten Elements zu errechnen. Dieses gilt nicht f�r die Leucht-Displays. Die Breite des Elementes betr�gt 75 cm, das Werbemittel-Dia ist 81,5 cm breit."
From another part of the text. I'm quite sure that "Werbemittelfahne" is the same sort of thing, if not the EXACT same thing, as "Dekofahne".
Does this inspire anyone afresh? I do rather like "placards" though.
