This is a gift manufacturer writing to clients. Is this just an order or a range? thanks

Hi. These are baby gifts. There are no other direct references to specific products in the text (stories, books etc). I'd have thought that it meant range or line etc, but I'm really not sure!
CMJ_Trans (X) Sep 24, 2007:
they might even be "stories" - what types of gift are these?

(sales) history/product line

If I understand correctly, it's saying that if a product (not a specific product here) doesn't achieve a certain percentage of sales, then the supplier will either take the product back or give a 25% credit note.
In my business R& C I have product history, backed up by the following link. I realise though that the context is slightly different but think you could fit it in for the first case and then be more explicit using product line in the second case.

Sales History

Sales History retains and manages historical sales data, and allows you to graph, view, and report those sales in monthly summary or detailed form. It also provides commissions reporting and management.

Story

This sounds very much like part-works, a collectable series of books or magazines which always come with a gift or toy. You know the sort of thing - collect a whole army of tin soldiers, make your own doll's house...

It's guesswork though!

I've never heard "histoire" in reference to a range or line.
