debate on Quebec culture
Nous voulons donner la parole aux citoyens, mais pas n’importe comment, ajoute la coprésidente du XXX, Mme ZZ YYY. On souhaite que les gens prennent le temps de s’informer et de réfléchir sur l’état de notre culture avant d’en débattre afin d’éviter les idées-minutes, les idées reçues, les clichés.

flash-in-the-pan ideas
although I think it would generally be translated as 'quick ideas' of the sort '20 quick ideas on how to boil an egg', in this instance it's something that needs to be avoided and therefore needs to be a little negative

: Excellent balance of an idiom with the somewhat more formal tone of the text! (I thought of "half-baked", but that would probably be too colloquial)

Poorly formed ideas/half cocked ideas
difficult to phrase and still sound idiomatic.... Half-cocked is a little more idiomatic, and slightly more critical in tone.

: maybe half-baked is more colloquial Lora

quick fixes
on the plus side, it's quite snappy.
on the minus side, it does not convey the notion that although quick the ideas are crap - but then again, neither does the Fr. original
