For "service" and "direction" in particular, you'd really need to know the structure of the company. I use the above because that is how *I* would translate them without further detail.
But my main point is that for an engineering company, "études" tends to be "design". Again, though, you'd need to know a lot more about the company to decide what it really means for them.
