"praxis professionnelle"

French to English Other Education / Pedagogy Description of Engineering Design programs
The most literal translation, Professional Praxis, does not sound correct to me, but I am not an expert in the field. It also gets very few Google hits. The educational institution has campuses globally and is expanding into new countries.

The full sentence is:

"Ce cours en Product Design est conçu pour offrir à ses diplômés une formation théorique et pratique qui leur apportera une connaissance solide de la praxis professionnelle et son contexte culturel, social et économique."

The term "praxis professionnelle" keeps coming up in the text - so any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for American or Canadian English, not UK English, but UK feedback certainly may be helpful. The design courses include industrial, urban and household products.

Nuance of difference between praxis and practice? @Daryo. Thanks for your note on praxis and practice not being exactly the same. You said the "ST" says . I don't know what ST stands for, but more importantly I am interested in anything you or anyone else might want to say on the difference between praxis and practice.
