Hi. A small portion of a brochure I'm working on deals with combat frigates. The phrase appears in this sentence: "Onze anneaux de frégate ont été réalisés à Brest et acheminés ensuite par barge à Lorient." I THINK I know what they're talking about but can't find a diagram anywhere to confirm it.

Une des avancées remarquables des frégates La Fayette réside dans leur conception modulaire. Jusqu\'alors, la coque d\'un navire était entièrement assemblée avant que les équipements n\'y soient montés. Dans le nouveau programme le bâtiment est scindé en anneaux et modules, entièrement équipés avant la mise à flot, avant même l\'assemblage. Ce procédé novateur, en faisant travailler les différents corps de métier, de façon contiguë - montage simultané des onze anneaux de coque, des quatre blocs de superstructures et des sept modules de systèmes de combat - permet un gain de temps remarquable.
