French term

Zone de perception visuelle globale de l'ouvrage

French to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering

Visual perception field of entire sections of the structure (in one glance)

Hello,

I'm just trying to follow the your definition (no engineer here, lol)

It seems to be an observer's ability to visually perceive entire sections of the structure in question. Entire sections are in his field of vision and this takes not effort at all. They are visible in one glance.

I hope this helps.
Note from asker:
Total visual perception area of the work
"Total visual perception area of the work" is what I eventually found on the OHGPI website, which make an official occurence of the expression. Still I'm not sure. Thanks anyway ;)

Oh so French

If anyone outside France has given thought to such a thing, I very much doubt it has been theorized and codified to this extent.

What you didn't say is that this applies to corrosion-resistant paint finishes, not to the façade of a building (unless so painted), etc.

Something like "readily visible surface"?

Surface corrosion means corrosion affecting any readily visible surface area of any component of the vehicle body, but not
including the vehicle underbody
nissan.ca/en/owning/warranty/pdf/2007.pdf

Vehicle will be free of defects in material and workmanship which result in readily visible surface corrosion for 18 months or
60,000 kilometres, whichever occurs first

Note from asker:
"Total visual perception area of the work", here is the equivalent I found on the OHGPI website... Still, it sounds far-fetched to me...
