English term

roll tube tank

English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering Congelatori
"Water tanks:
Counter depth refrigerators will have a roll tube tank assembly.
The water line from the primary valve goes.... to the water filter. From the water filter it goes to the water tank, then to the secondary water valve.... By filling the ice maker form the water tank you will get chilled water to the ice maker helping to increase ice production"

out of the blue this roll tube things appears.... I have a picture and it looks like this: a small tube comes form the left hand side, it rolls up forming some sort of coil looking like a cylinder (or more precisely a tampax with 2 strings attached) and then the tube leaves on the right hand side on a straight line.

Any idea of what it might be called?

Thanks Harry, but after speaking with the client it transpired that it is indeed a narrow tube coiled up that it used as a tank....
Andrea Re (asker) Sep 28, 2005:
someone suggested "coiled tank" or "coil-shaped tank".
Andrea Re (asker) Sep 28, 2005:
Hi Harry,

it is not exactly the same, but it is close enough. Whether it is what I am looking for, I know not. A heat exchanger to cool the liquid before entring the ice maker, so why doesn't it call it "heat exchanger". Also there is the word "tank" .
Anyway, I have found a picture (I think...)

heat exchanger coil

is waht it sounds like, see if the picture in the ref. matches yours (with the two strings at the same end this time...)

I think in your text they mean "assembly consisting of a tank and a roll tube"

maybe they just wanted to avoid the term heat exchanger (since it can also have very different shapes) and maybe they just didn't think of the term coil ;-)
