AUGMENTED LlMB LEADS. The three augmented limb leads are designated aVR aVL, and aVF. The exploring electrode that forms the positive input is the right arm electrode for lead aVR the left arm electrode for lead aVL, and the left leg electrode for aVF. The reference potential for the augmented limb leads is formed by connecting the two limb electrodes that are not used as the exploring electrode.
