al lato del microscopio c'e' una manopolina che controlla la messa a fuoco tramite il movimento verticale delle lenti del microscopio stesso.
potresti tradurlo cosi':
muovere verso l'alto la *manopola (*e' sottinteso) della messa a fuoco (che controlla la messa a fuoco) fino al punto immediatamente al di sotto della messa a **fuoco massima (corrisponde alla fine corsa)
non e' una traduzione meravigliosa, forse puoi migliorarla in qualche modo.
