English term (edited): in safety endpoints plaque index

1. Definizione
Outcome, end-point. Nella metodologia della ricerca clinica possono essere considerati sinonimi: entrambi hanno il significato di “misura di esito”.

Le misure di outcome (end point, esito) sono la variabile di risposta su cui vengono confrontati i gruppi di trattamento in un trial clinico.

End point. Nella letteratura inglese si tende ormai giustamente a chiamare gli end points o punti finali “outcome measures”; perciò il termine è stato sostituito con “misura di esito”

Nascono così “l’indice di sanguinamento” (in inglese BOP bleeding on probing) e “l’indice di placca” (in inglese PlI Plaque Index)
INDICE DI PLACCA
Nella sua forma più semplice ci dice se sulla superficie del dente è presente della placca oppure no, mentre nella sua formulazione più completa e descrittiva ci dice se la placca è assente (indice 0), se si può evidenziare con il passaggio della sonda (indice 1), se è visibile (indice 2), se è abbondante (indice 3).

tenendo conto dell' indice di placca come misura d' esito, l' impianti LL e C si sono dimostrati equiparabili in termini di sicurezza...
