I'm working on a safety sheet for zirconia ceramic femoral heads...

Under "precautions" they mention that "... although the partially stabilised zirconium ball produces a relatively low amount of particulates, the total amount of particulate remains undetermined."

Does anyone know the German term??

Assuming they mean zirconia and not zirconium(!). Check out the ref. as there's also Zirkonoxidkeramik (ATZ) instead of this which is FZM/K.

agree Cetacea : I'd say they mean "zirconia" as well, since Zirkonoxidkeramik is a common material for ball heads. So the complete answer would be "teilstabilisierte Zirkonoxid-Kugel".
