Stage II non-seminomas are treated with retroperitoneal lymphnode dissection, with cisplatin-based chemotherapy sometimes being necessary, both are followed by rigorous surveillance. Stage II and Stage III (High tumour burden) testicular cancer patients have a high relapse rate with radiation therapy alone, and ciplatin-based chemotherapy cures 70% to 80% of those patients.
