@ Asker That's my point: you say 'grip' a seat, I assume you mean 'grab' in the sense of 'saisir' — but does this imply you simply have to walk through the door and collect them? Or is this in fact related to your other question, where you mention 'prize', suggesting in fact that there is some kind of competition, or maybe prize draw? In which case, the verb 'to pick up' needs quite different handling.

You can read further in the text: "Get trackside in XXX with a 5-star trip for two"

"Bag the prize and you and a friend will enjoy grandstand seats and hospitality at the Grand Prix"

Context? I think what's important here is the intention... are they saying that by coming to XXX garage (instead of somewhere else) you will get better seats? 'grandstand' sometimes means more than just 'in the grandstand', it can have the idea of 'the best seats in the house', 'the front row', 'the best view' etc.
So where does the 'pick up' come in? It's an informal sort of verb to use, does it really just mean 'stop by and collect'? Or is there more meaning behind it than that, like 'obtain the best seats by coming to us'?
