Met bruto betalingen dek je de lading goed, als je alleen naar de tekst tussen haakjes kijkt. Ik vind de context echter niet duidelijk:
Stay-at-home pay is het salaris in het thuisland. Wat tussen haakjes staat, is bedoeld als toelichting. COLA staat voor Cost of Living Abroad, dat lijkt me juist geen onderdeel van het stay-at-home pay...

Gelukkig is dit voor de vertaling geen probleem. Met 'bruto betalingen' zit je volgens mij goed, tenzij er een specifieke vertaling bestaat.
Periodic increase in wages or salaries, to compensate for loss in purchasing power of money due to inflation. Rate of COLA is commonly pegged to a general index such as consumer price index (CPI). Also called cost of living adjustment.
