Na webu jsem na níže uvedeném odkazu našel "primování pumpy" a ono je to podle mě to samé, co primování filtru. Podle výkladu slovníků (např. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Prime) je definice "to prime" = to prepare for operation, as by pouring water into a pump or gasoline into a carburetor." Takže přestože se Martin trochu tomu anglismu brání, je dost dobře možné, že jej doktoři používají.
Pokud se mu ale budeš chtít vyhnout, asi bych použil Martinův návrh, se kterým jsem ostatně souhlasil.

Na http://www.culligan-praha.cz/clanek.htm jsem našel "praní filtru". Prý se běžně provádí vodou a vzduchem. A vzpomínám si, že v průběhu hledání odpovědi na "priming" jsem našel nějaké anglické stránky pojednávající o priming a jakémsi pročištění vzduchem a vodou.

Je tam třeba tohle: During the priming cycle, air enters the pump and mixes with water at the impeller. Water and air are discharged together by centrifugal action of the impeller into the water reservoir. The air naturally tends to rise, while the water tends to sink.

Priming means filling the pump and suction pipe with water. You must evacuate the air from all the suction lines and the pump. It may take several minutes to prime depending on depth to water, pipe size and length. Note: it is easier to prime a pump if you allow all the air to escape from the pump and pipes.
