Discussion

Daryo Aug 9, 2019:
If you scratch beneath the surface this title makes no sense. IOW literal translation would be pointless.

In the NHS "commissioning bodies" are really "commissioning" - health services for the population.

But what are these "Traffic Commissioners" supposed to be "commissioning"??? Are they really "commissioning" anything? Some services related to "traffic"?

From the description given, they look more like a kind of glorified "licencing officers".

I see now that you are asking about EU TRAFFIC COMMISSIONER, that person in Croatia is called "Povjerenik za prijevoz " in that case that would be my answer.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Daryo : that seems more or less comparable, but some points of method: the EN version is one person, you can not change that into one service/department. You wouldn't translate "a minister" by "ministarstvo"? Also, where is any mention of Zagreb in the ST???
