I hope some one can help me with this (slightly odd) question!
The term is a translation of the word "Return" to be used in a User Interface. Due to length restrictions I asked the translator to provide a shorted term for the phrase which he did.
But unfortunately due to time differences/holidays in Europe I can't contact him to answer this question, so I am turning to the community at large!
Here's the question:
I believe Назад is the abbreviated form. Could you tell me what the full term would be?
For example if this were English, the abbreviated form is "Ret." and the full term is "Return".
We never asked for the full phrase (I know, that was daft!) and we can't use a different term, only the full term for Назад.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In fact, "Назад" is the full form of this word, not an abbreviation. Literally it means "Back/Backwards".
It is OK as a translation of the UI "Return" but please check if there is a UI called "Back" (e.g. Forward/Back buttons/links) in the English source which might be translated as "Назад" as well. If you insist different translations for some reason, then it may cause you problem.
