Dutch to English Social Sciences Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc. Socio-educational training course
Not much if at all any context. This is a subject of a course "social pedagogische hulpverlening". I assume it has to do with how humans are perceived. Does anyone know a good English translation for this?

In my opinion all these terms are way too abstract for this context.

I am talking about how social pedagogues view the people they work with, their clients.

A literal translation of 'mensvisie' would be 'concept of man'.

Marx's concept of man (Marx' visie op de mens)

It just does not fit in this context.

… are obviously two different things. As far as I can tell, the context is about the latter.

A is about the ideas/perspectives/views that specific people you are studying have.
B is about your perspective/view on the people you are studying / people in general.

view of clients meaning client profiles? It would fit. If it does fit, it will be a perfect example of our work.

To trace my logic: 'view of clients" : makes sense : a type of (systematized) outlook on people - assessment : with the aim of developing a profile to match with a certain type of therapy.
Whatever the appropriate translation here is, in the end I would check with the client.

@ katerina It is basically a subject in a course unit. So the course unit is "psychological subjects" and one of the subjects is "mensvisie en therapieen". My personal inclination would be "perspectives of humans" but I am not sure about that.

vision of mankind except that it needs an adjective: "ínner"or "modern" or "outdated" or even relevant, but i don't think it can stand on its own, and as the title of a course: an abstract vision of mankind would make you look for an alternative translation.

agree Tina Vonhof (X) : Gezien het bij de 'mensvisie' gaat om de wijze van benadering van de cliënt (en er zijn vele mogelijkheden), zou ik het vertalen als 'clinical approach'.//Dan zou je eigenlijk ook niet over therapieën moeten spreken. Clinical is een breed begrip.
