Dutch term

Tijdsbesteding systeemaudits

Dutch to English Marketing Finance (general)
Time schedule? Audit time? Of is deze laatste vertaling te vrij?

Discussion

jarry (X) Jan 28, 2010:
System audit time budget The word "toegewezen" - which I have to say didn't catch my attention at first - seems to suggest that the hours are allocated rather than actually spent. So, yes, I think 'system audit time budget' is a good translation in the given context.
Wendy Rosbag (asker) Jan 28, 2010:
Time budget Zou tijdsbesteding ook gewoonweg met 'time budget' vertaald kunnen worden? Dus 'time budget system audits'?

Thanks Phil, I thought the systems audit bit was too obvious to mention in my answer.

(system) audit(s) time expenditure

Perhaps, 'audit time expenditure'?

-> 'de tijdsbesteding is gebaseerd op de volgende normen' =
'the (audit) time expenditure is based on the following standards/norms'

->'tijdsbesteding per te bezoeken locatie' =
'(audit) time expenditure per location to be visited'

agree Tina Vonhof (X) : I think it refers to the process of spending time rather than the actual time spent.

allocated audit time(s)/hours

In the given context, I would say that 'tijdsbesteding' does not so much refer to the actual time/hours spent on system audits but rather to the time/hours allocated for this purpose. Another option would be 'available audit time/hours'.

The Director of Internal Audits prepares an annual plan which is reviewed and approved by the Audit Committee and The University of Texas System Audit Office to ensure that objectives, scope and allocated audit hours support management goals.

The AB’s audit team shall carefully review all the elements considered by a CAB when establishing its audit times and, in particular, the criteria that would support a deviation from the audit times indicated in Annex 2. The AB’s auditors should especially examine cases where there has been a reduction in the allocated audit times, but should not exclude examining cases where longer times have been used.
