proceeds

Please note the confidence level - not sure AT ALL - but from a quick look at the handful of references this seems to be an antiquated way of saying proceeds.

The avaliable texts seem to be historical.

If you break the word up literally:

verkoop (sale) + penningen (i.e. munt uit vroeger tijd) 0 proceeds of a sale ??

Note from asker:
Hi Deborah! Long time no hear, eh? FYI, I was also thinking along the lines of "proceeds of sales", but couldn't verify; hence the Q.
Peer comment(s):

agree Dave Calderhead : kooppenningen is purchase sum/price, thus verkooppenningen should be the sale price, or proceeds of sale as Robert himself says [as security against the loan/mortgae] (:-{)>
