Sounds like a literal translation but I've come across this in insurance reports for a Swedish company and, apparently, this is the term commonly used in rehabilitation and assessment. It's a way of evaluating whether someone who has been on sick leave is fit enough to return to their former job or something else; if not, then they may be eligible for a disability pension etc.

Back to the interesting discussion of using work aptitude test for arbejdsprøvning. As a matter of fact this type of test is used (in Denmark) to test people's ability to learn a new job/skill. It is particularly used following cerebral haemorrhage where people may have lost their former aptitude to do their job.
