In which case an English speaking doctor would understand, and use, the same terminology. Google the word with English only as language and you will see an item headed "Treating the Accidental Hypothermic Victim in a Field Hospital" which is written by a Danish doctor in English, so he must assume that his English-speaking colleagues would understand the term.
