Danish term

professionsuddannelse

I'm not sure there is a word for this in English, but can anyone suggest anything better than 'profession education'?

the training of professionals

Diarmuid, I feel sure you must have considered the following but am just putting down some suggestions... it helps that 'professionelle' is explained further down

... research into learning and knowledge creation during the training of professionals and the exercise of a profession.

/or
research into ways of learning and creating knowledge during the education and working life of professionals.
or/
...learning processes and knowledge accumulation over the course of the educational and career paths of professionals.

professional bachelor programme

"Professionsuddannelse" refers to the previously mentioned degrees classified as "Professionsbachelor" in Denmark. See this extract taken from KorpusDK:

I don't know either if there is an equivalent standard English term that would cover this, or a similar distinction between degrees, but this is a suggestion.
Example sentence:

UCJ offers seven different professional bachelor study programmes within the areas of health and education.
