Here's another variation for you to choose. I believe being a "才" does not imply success in many cases. Nor does it mean a high-level of (general) education. You just have to be exceptionally skillful in a particular field. It does not have to be knowledge or education. It does not have to make you extremely wealthy.

As an aside, other types of talents such as 天才，鬼才，奇才，even 蠢才 all don't have to be well-educated, at least that's what I think.
