Chinese term

愮峺暡

Chinese to English Other Cooking / Culinary
I am translating Chinese recipes into English for a client, 愮峺暡 is one of the ingredients in a recipe for green tea cake. Although I have an idea of what it is, I'm not sure exactly how it should be written in English. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Chinese term (edited): y

dry yeast

I'm no cook, but I don't think dry yeast is exactly the same thing as baking powder?

Many bakers prefer dry yeast because of its stability, consistency and convenience. Lallemand offers a range of dried yeasts produced from specific strains tolerant of the drying process yet highly effective in baking systems.
