escote de zapato

Can anyone tell me what is the "escote" of a shoe please? All I can find is "neckline" and that is not for shoes.

This is for "zapatos de salón"

Thank you.

The chicest court shoe style this season has a high throat, meaning the front comes up higher over your foot. This creates the comfort of a loafer, whilst giving you fashion credentials.

High throat courts are versatile enough to wear with trousers or skirts, so make a great investment purchase.

These curvy court shoes have a revealingly low rounded throat and feature a contrasting mary jane strap.

Peer comment(s):

agree Charles Davis : It is useful, isn't it? And it's dead right here. The escote is the throat, which is the top edge of the instep or vamp (empeine). It doesn't necessarily imply showing "cleavage"; it can be high or low.

shoe with a low cut front

Shoes with an "escote" are sometimes called "court shoes" or "pumps".

Without the entire sentence, this is all that I can suggest. Can you integrate my suggestion into your sentence at all?

Topline

The escote refers to the top of the shoe, known as the topline. For example: www.oddshoefinder.com/chapters/anatomy of a shoe.
Example sentence:

Topline: the top edge of the upper.
