I am a professional
Arabic-speaking translator/interpreter with a BA in English language and literature from Sudan, a Postgraduate Diploma in Translation Studies from South Africa, accreditation as a legal translator/interpreter in UAE courts, and 18 years of experience in translation/interpreting and
journalistic writing. My career has involved working with NGOs in East Africa, the Southern African region, and the Arab GCC countries (mainly in education and
humanitarian work). I have so far undertaken interpreting/translation projects at conferences throughout the African continent, the GCC region, and Asia for prestigious institutions such as Al-Jazeera Media Network, the African Union, the Pan-African Parliament, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and United Nations
NGOs, to name but a few.
