Bringing translators together from an archipelago of seven different islands is not as easy as one might think, but a big thank you to Karin who made the effort and flew in from La Palma. We also welcomed a beginner translator, Isabel Escoffier (SP/PT-FR), who is not yet on Proz, but may well sign up as a result!
We had a very pleasant afternoon eating tapas in La Bulla restaurant, at El Charco, Arrecife, Lanzarote, getting to know one another. We all enjoyed the chance to meet others in our profession, share knowledge and contacts, as well as help each other with doubts and queries, as far as we could.
I very much hope this will be the first of many Canarian Powwows, which island will be next?
