Bio:My name is Paula Ríos, and I am a Chemistry and English Literature undergraduate student in the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus.
While my native language is Spanish, Puerto Rico's unique position within the United States allows its citizens to take adva...ntage of the opportunity to learn English as well as Spanish. As a result, I have acquired excellent English and Spanish writing and speaking skills.
Although my B.A. concentrations are not directly linked to transcription or translational work, my vast knowledge of English and Spanish grammar and syntax qualified me for a secretarial, editorial, and translation position in the US Forest Service, where I mostly worked on editing and translating documents in English and Spanish.
Due to the growing number of veterans returning from the two latest US wars, my position as a student employee has been compromised in order to make way for new veteran employees. This turn of events has thus left me with approximately 30 weekly hours of free time, which is why I am currently seeking new employment involving the translation skills I have already developed.
