Bio
My name is Alhasan Diab. I am a professional freelance translator (English > Arabic; Arabic > English) with more than 7 years of experience in Translation & MTPE in general, and 5 years of extensive experience in Media Localization, Subtitling, and QC.

I am a native Arabic speaker from Damascus, Syria with a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and Translation from Damascus University. Plus, I also completed 4 semesters at Leipzig University (Major: American Studies). Furthermore, I speak English fluently (IELTS 7.5). 

Lately, I specialized in Subtitling, QC, and Media localization. I have been working for big names in the Media localization industry like Iyuno, Pixelogic Media, Plint, TransPerfect, VSI, Visual Data Media, Zoo Digital, IDC, and Dicentia Studios. I have translated and subtitled movies and series for DISNEY, Netflix, and other clients such as WB, SBS, VICE Media, and Sony Pictures. Plus, I work with other media localization companies, agencies, and LSPs. You can check some of them in the reference section below. 

I have great experience using SDL Trados Studio 2021 as my main CAT tool, and Memsource as my second. Regarding the subtitling tools, I use Aegisub Advanced Subtitle Editor, Subtitle Edit, GTS Pro (SDI Media), MediaNext (TransPerfect), Ooona, Plint tool, Sfera, and Subtitle Workshop. Besides, I am fluent in MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Google Docs, and PDF Adobe Acrobat with tremendous internet searching skills.
