I am native in both Korean and English. I was born in South Korea and at the age of 10, I came to the United States with my family. Since then, I acquired all of my education in the US including my university degree at the George Washington University. During my college years, I came across a couple of translation assignments and immediately became fell in love with this job. Since then, I chose to take the career path of a professional translator.
In May 2009, I moved to Korea to work as a freelance translator/interpreter. I wanted to explore this career field further by working under a respected organization. Therefore, I joined the Republic of Korea Air Force as a Lieutenant and my duties were mainly comprised of translation and interpretation jobs. While working as an officer for 3 years, I had the opportunity to hone my translation skills by translating confidential documents including OPLAN (Operations Plan). Subsequently, I joined the Green Cross Corporation, one of the leading medical/pharmaceutical companies in Korea. While working as a medical representative, I was able to acquire fundamental knowledge in the medical/pharmaceutical field through hands on experiences at the site. To fully apply my skills and experiences that I’ve acquired throughout my lifetime, I decided take the career path of a full-time freelance translator in the pharmaceutical/medical field.
Exploiting my experiences to the hilt, I have been providing translation and editing services for about 15 years mainly in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors. I believe that my commitment and professionalism will provide quality assured work for your company.
