Dear colleagues,

I have just purchased a new laptop which I am going to have to get used to as I am transitioning from Word 2003 (gasp) to Office 365. Because I know I might want to use my old computer with Word 2003 when the learning curve gets too steep (or time-consuming!), I would like to keep Studio 2014 on my old laptop for I while until I decide I am ready to get rid of my old computer and old version of Office (oh how I love Office 2003...). Is that possible? Can I just down... See more

The Freelance version of SDL Trados Studio has one activation and can only be activated on one machine at any time.

SDL Trados Studio 2014 supports the following Operating Systems; Windows 7 and 8.1 and MS Office 2007/2010*/2013*/365**

Certain versions of MS Office are delivered with different installers-

* Real Time Preview is NOT available in certain Office releases

** Certain functionality (including Real-time Preview) is NOT available with Office 365


Please note:

SDL Studio 2014 is NOT supported and /or compatible with Windows XP operating system.

Users of XP are advised to upgrade their operating systems to at least Windows 7 before installing Studio 2014

Yes, it's as easy as that.

As Guillaume says, you can only activate Studio on one computer at a time (unless you have the Freelance Plus version, in which case you can activate your license on two computers for your own use only).

But you can still run it on two computers by deactivating your license on one computer and activating it on the other one.
