INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE STARTING
• Read all instructions before use.
• Remove the insulation tape and press the [RESET] button at the back of the calculator before use.
POWER ON/OFF / PRINT ON / ITEM COUNT / CURRENCY CONVERSION SELECTION SWITCH
▓ Turns calculator Off.
▓ Turns calculator On. Entries and results will appear on the display, but will not be printed out.

▓ Set the switch to "ITEM" to print the number of times the [+]and [—] keys have been pressed (up to 999). The item count will be printed on the left hand side of the paper roll when the , , or keys are pressed.
▓ Set the switch to "CONV" position to perform currency conversion calculation functions. Entries and result will appear on the display and printout.
– Set the switch to and enter the currency conversion rate and press [C1] , [C2] or [C3] to store the
current rate.
– Press [C1] , [C2] or [C3] to recall the stored currency conversion rate.
– Press [$] to convert currency figure displayed from [C1] , [C2] or [C3] to the [$].
– Press [C1] , [C2] or [C3] to convert displayed figure from [$] to [C1] , [C2] or [C3].
*1 Specifying the Number of Decimal Places for Intermediate US Dollar Amounts. When you convert from one national currency to another, the calculator internally converts the original currency to US dollars. This conversion result is the "intermediate US dollar amount". Next, the intermediate US dollar amount is converted to the target currency. The flow of the steps of the conversions will be shown on the printout. For such a calculation, you should use the following procedure to specify the number of decimal places for the intermediate US dollar amount. You can specify from 0 (*2) to 9 decimal places, for a floating decimal point (F). The intermediate US dollar amount is rounded off to the number of decimal places you specify.
*2 “0” is displayed when F ( floating point) is set for the number of decimal places. F is the initial default setting.
*3 For rates of 1 or greater, you can input up to six digits. For rates less than 1 you can input up to 8 digits, including 0 for the integer digit and leading zeros (though only six significant digits, counted from the left and starting with the first non-zero digit, can be specified).
GRAND TOTAL / RATE SET SWITCH
GRAND TOTAL - When the calculations are performed with the GT switch set to "ON", the totals are accumulated in the grand total memory. Each time is pressed, the subtotal number is printed with the symbols G+. When is pressed, the intermediate grand total is printed with the symbols G◇. Press successively to get the grand total followed by the symbols G .
RATE SET - Set switch to "RATE SET" for setting or recalling the tax and currency rate.
OVERFLOW FUNCTION
In the following cases, when "E" is displayed, a dotted line is printed, the keyboard is electronically locked, and further operation is impossible. Press to clear the overflow. The overflow occurs when:
1) The result or the memory content exceeds 12 digits to the left of the decimal point.
2) Dividing by "0".
3) The sequential operation speed is faster than the calculation processing speed. (Buffer Register Overflow)
■ Electromagnetic interference or electrostatic discharge may cause the display to malfunction or the contents of the memory to be lost or altered. Should this occur, use the tip of a ball point pen (or similar sharp object) to press the [RESET] button at the back of the calculator. After resetting, be sure to set the calendar, clock, currency and tax rate again.

REPLACING BACKUP BATTERY
•Memory backup battery retains the tax rate, currency rate, clock and calendar setting, when the power is off
or even when the AC cord is disconnected.

After replacing the back-up battery, press the [RESET] button. After resetting be sure to set the tax rate, currency rate, clock and calendar setting again.
CAUTION
• Risk of explosion if battery is replaced with an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to the instruction.
• The socket-outlet should be installed near the equipment and should be easily accessible. In case of electrical fault
(i.e. smoke), disconnect the plug from the electrical outlet immediately.
CLOCK & CALENDAR FUNCTION
• Used to switch between clock or calendar mode.
• Used to switch between 12 or 24 hour at clock mode time setting.
• Used to set the date and time in calendar & clock mode.
• Used to switch between AM or PM at clock mode time setting.
• Used to select date format between "YYYY/MM/DD", "DD/MM/YYYY" or "MM/DD/YYYY" at calendar mode.
Note: The calendar, clock, tax, and currency rate will clear if all power sources and backup battery are disconnected.
In this case, please reset the settings.

*1 Tentukan jumlah Tempat Angka Desimal untuk Jumlah Nilai Mata Uang Dolar Amerika. Ketika Anda mengkonversi dari mata uang suatu negara ke mata uang negara lain, kalkulator secara otomatis akan mengkonversi mata uang asli ke dolar Amerika. Hasil konversi ini adalah “jumlah nilai mata uang dolar Amerika”. Selanjutnya, nilai mata uang dolar Amerika akan dikonversikan ke mata uang tujuan. Alur langkah pengkonversian akan ditampilkan pada cetakan. Untuk proses penghitungan, Anda harus menggunakan prosedur berikut untuk menentukan banyaknya tempat angka untuk jumlah nilai mata uang dolar Amerika. Anda dapat menentukannya dari 0 (lihat *2) sampai 9 angka desimal, untuk sebuah angka pecahan desimal (F). TOMBOL NILAI TOTAL / PENYETEL KURS
NILAI TOTAL – Ketika penghitungan sedang dilakukan dengan tombol GT berada pada posisi "ON", jumlah keseluruhan diakumulasikan ke dalam memori nilai total. Setiap kali tombol ditekan, angka subtotal akan dicetak dengan simbol G+. Ketika tombol ditekan, nilai total akan dicetak dengan simbol G◇. Tekan tombol beberapa kali untuk mendapatkan nilai total yang diikuti oleh simbol G .
PENYETEL KURS - Setel tombol ke "RATE SET" untuk menyetel atau mengembalikan nilai pajak dan kurs mata uang.
FUNGSI LIMPAH ATAS
Dalam situasi berikut, ketika simbol "E" ditampilkan pada layar, garis bertitik-titik akan dicetak, semua tombol akan dikunci secara elektronik dan tidak akan bisa melakukan pengoperasian lebih jauh lagi. Tekan tombol untuk menghapus limpah atas. Limpah atas terjadi ketika:
1) Hasil atau isi memori melebihi 12 angka ke sisi kiri titik angka desimal.
2) Dibagi dengan angka "0".
3) Kecepatan tahapan pengoperasian lebih cepat dibanding kecepatan proses kalkulasi. (Registrasi Penyangga Limpah Atas)
■ Gangguan elektromagnetik atau elektrostatis dapat mengakibatkan gagal fungsi pada layar, berubah bahkan hilangnya isi memori. Jika hal seperti ini terjadi, gunakan ujung pulpen (atau benda tajam lainnya) untuk menekan tombol [RESET] yang terletak di belakang kalkulator. Setelah melakukan penyetelan ulang, pastikan Anda telah menyetel ulang kalender, jam, mata uang dan tarif pajak.
