Poisson rouge Germany Local time: 23:39 German to French + ...
May 30, 2009
Hello everybody,
I am translating a text with dates in German and Wordfast Classic systematically ignores them.
e.g. "13. bis 15. Dezember" is segmented as "bis 15." "September" and I can't find out how to get Wordfast to include the first date. Any ideas?
Thanks very much and have a nice (long) week-end
Fiona

Use Alt + PgDown

in order to connect several segments, as is described in the Wordfast manual. There is no other solution.

Apart from "SegmentAll" in PB, you can also do it manually. When you get to such a segment, press Alt+Del to close the segment. Then select the entire piece of text that you want as a segment, and press Shift+Alt+down. This should should then include that entire text in a segment, which you can translate. If your text contains a lot of these, then SegmentAll is better, of course.

Thanks very much. I used the 'segment all' command but I will try Samuel's tip next time (I don't think having 'segment all' on at all times is very productive).
Saved my week-end
