1.24. "ISU" (or Iridium Subscriber Unit) means the individual finished equipment (e.g., handsets, Iridium device, ICE and other satellite compatible equipment developed and introduced by Iridium or its authorized partners from time to time), activated on the Iridium network, and used by Subscribers for purposes of transmitting and/or receiving data communications using the Iridium Communications System. ISU is used to describe the provisioning and billing of a device generically (e.g. ISU-ISU call type) but not to describe a VAR's ICE specifically.
