I need an Arabic translation for the term mirror role. The definition is as follows:
"Mirror roles are an exact replica of the primary roles without the ability to submit decisions."
Context:
A training simulation on leadership and teamwork where some trainees are assigned some roles in the simulation, whereas other people are assigned mirror roles.

| الفكرة هنا أن الشخص المضطلع بالدور "الرديف" لا يحل محل الشخص القائم بالدور الرئيسي في خال الطوارئ، وإنما هو مجرد ظل أو نظير له كنوع من تقييم الأداء في برنامج محاكاة تدريبي |
| شكرا جزيلا. جزء آخر يوضح أن هذا الدور وضع ليعوض وجود عدد كبير من المشاركين. بمعنى أنه في كل دورة محاكاة يتكون الفريق من ٦ أشخاص ولكن في وجود أكثر من ٦ أشخاص مثلا فهم يكلفون بهذا الدور الظل أو النظير ليتككنوا من المشاركة في المحاكاة ولكنهم لا يمتلكون الحق في المشاركة في اتخاذ القرارات مثل أصحاب الدور الرئيسي. هل في هذه الحالة تكون ترجمة الدور الظل أكثر دقة؟ واعتذر عن الإطالة |

دور ظل
I like (دور رديف) which was already suggested by TargamaT team.
If you want another option you could borrow from the political field by using (دور ظل).
(حكومة الظل-shadow government/cabinet) mirrors the ruling government.

You have options here. They are OK but they don’t fit perfectly.
I find (دور مناظر) an acceptable choice. In Arabic it means (the same, the peer), which does not fit perfectly, but I suspect “mirror role” is explained in the text. So people reading/listening will understand the intended meaning. If it’s not explained, adding a footnote could be an option to explain the difference in roles.
Also, generally speaking, you don’t have to use the same root for (mirror role) and (role-mirroring). But that’s up to you to judge as the one who knows the context.
So you could translate (mirror role) as (دور ظل) or (دور رديف) and then translate (role-mirroring) as (يحاكي). But again you can judge that better.
If you want another option you could borrow from the political field by using (دور ظل).
