take proactive steps
I know that this is not a literal translation, but this is common phrasing in pro-environment texts. I would translate it as, "take proactive steps to ensure... etc etc." In English, there would be a preferance for a verbal phrase here, I think. سلوك is encompassed by the idea of "taking steps" and in this case something إيجابي in terms of the environment would be doing something proactive to protect the environment. I think that a direct translation-behavior-is took vague in English to sound natural.
